Project Description

EPI CENTAR International was contracted by FAO to prepare an analysis. In order to provide support to smallholders and family farms, there has been a need to develop a better understanding and knowledge platform of the main challenges, needs and constraints of smallholders and family farms in the specific country context.

The report provides a comprehensive overview of the smallholders and family farms in the country, based on the overall methodological principals of the Regional TCP on smallholders and family farms.

A synthesis Report was prepared and a regional validation workshop was organized in Budapest for the discussion and validation of the Synthesis Report and with the objective to further enhance the support to smallholders and family farms in Europe and Central Asia through the Regional Initiative.
