Epi Center International, in cooperation with consulting companies from Netherlands and Germany, participated in the preparation of a Market study for green financing in agriculture, in the Republic of North Macedonia.

The study is a representation of the Macedonian agriculture potentials that can be realized through the so-called green financing, in cooperation with the banking sector. For the preparation of the study, a large number of interviews were organized with farmers and food processors from several sub-sectors such as fruits, horticulture, wine, livestock, and field visits were also conducted.

The study also includes a review of the legal regulation for agriculture and rural development, financing policies, support measures, as well as a comparative review of legislation from other countries in Europe.

After the preparation of the study, training sessions for farmers were organized in cooperation with the academic community, and activities were also carried out to promote green financing focused on sustainable development.
