Project Description

EPI CENTAR International was contracted to develop a Domestic Profile on each of the following current and potential Kosovo horticultural Value Chains (VCs): apples, table grapes, gherkins and cucumbers, berries, lettuce and chicory, kiwi, saffron, asparagus, flower bulbs.

Using these profiles, EPI CENTAR will make long-term value chain assessments, which will help determine proposed activity interventions for five key value chains of immediate interest to NOA. The interventions will be prioritized and leveraged interventions are likely to have the highest impact on promoting sustained, broad based and feasible economic growth.

EPI CENTAR conducted a comprehensive secondary research using a wide range of resources for the development and the possibility of expansion of the required information .

EPI CENTAR performed a VC Assessment of the five primary long-term NOA VCs, namely, apples, table grapes, gherkins/cucumbers, berries and lettuce.
